Kodama Leader is one of the achievements you can unlock in the game. With this page of the Tipps to NiOh 2, you will find the location of all little creatures.
In total, there are 150 Kodamas in the game. They are scattered across the main and side missions. Check the mission briefing panel to learn about how many of them are in a given level. In addition, the game informs you about finding all the creatures on a given map.

The Village of Cursed Blossoms
This level has 7 Kodamas. Their list is as follows:
The first Kodama can be found right after you have beaten Gozuki. Head towards the wooden bridge and you will come across a fork. If you go right, you will find a dead end and a Kodama.
After defeating Enki, head to the left. There is a path near the first human opponent. This Kodama is at the end of that path.
The third Kodama is located in the settlement. You will find it behind the house just over the first bridge, where you will encounter two Rogues (including an archer).
Another Kodama can be found in the first building on the right, just behind the second bridge. It is hidden in the corner, behind the baskets.
The fifth Kodama is found just outside the Yokai Realm, which brings the enemy to the village. When you turn back to where you came from, you will find a path blocked by a box. Break it down and go forward – you will find the creature.
Reach the group of opponents – one of them will shoot at you from top of a hill. Find a pole at the end of the path that leads to them. Kodama is behind it.
The last Kodama will appear when you purify the area from the Yokai Realm. You will find it right at the gate – you have to open it with the key.
The Forest Veiled in Darkness
This side mission has two Kodamas; their locations can be found below:
The first Kodama can be found in the central part of the map. It is located next to a large fallen tree that towers above the path.
The second Kodama can be found near the building built into a cliff. The creature is behind the chest located right in front of the building.
The Beast of Smoke and Flame
This level has 7 Kodamas. They are located in:
While passing through the village, you will come across a Rogue searching a corpse. There’s an alley to the left of him. Follow it and you will find the first Kodama.
The second Kodama is on the roof of the building. Get there using the hill which is located in the village.
After defeating Ippon-Datara, you will find a descent into the caves. When you get out of it, you will encounter Gaki. This Kodama is hidden behind the boxes standing next to the enemy.
In the area corrupted by Yokai, there is a building with a ladder leading to the cave. That is where you will find another Kodama.
At the end of the level you will reach the fork. One the left, you have a glade with a ladder, while to the right you have a gate leading to the boss.
Get inside the building where the gates to the boss are located. At the middle level, you will be fighting Enera. There is a ladder next to this Yokai. It will lead you to the roof, where another Kodama is located.
The last Kodama is located on the highest floor of the building. The little creature stands next to the supports.
Viper sanctuary
This main mission has 6 Kodamas. Their locations are listed below:
The first opponent you encounter is on the platform. Reach its end to find a Kodama.
Early in the mission, you encounter a building with the Yokai Realm. The second Kodama is just behind it, in a small alley.
As you traverse the cave complex, you will encounter Enki. Kodama is in the cavity right before you encounter the Yokai.
Another Kodama is found in the room filled with poison. The creature sits under a bridge where you will encounter Gaki.
There is a cave to the left of the path leading to the boss. There you will find another Kodama.
The last Kodama can be found in a small recess located in the poisoned reservoir to the left of the bridge leading to the boss.
Dark Omens
This side mission has 3 Kodamas. They are located in:
The first Kodama is found at the very beginning of the stage. It is located in the first hut to the right.
When you reach the Yokai Realm, you will find a staircase right at the entrance. Follow the road going from their central part – you will reach the second Kodama.
The third Kodama is located on a hill where you will get attacked by a boulder pushed by a Yokai. The little creature is on the small rock adjacent to it.
The Hidden Monsters of Okehazama
This main mission has 7 Kodamas. They are located in:
You start the level inside caves. Go left – you will encounter a group of Gaki in the first room. Kodama is located to the right (where Enki is), under a fence in the left part of the room.
When you enter the same cave, but turn right, you will follow a narrow corridor. Eventually, you will reach an alley with baskets. Behind them is another Kodama.
Keep moving up and you will reach a village. Kodama is located in its central part – it sits next to the house, behind the wooden fence.
The fourth Kodama can be found near the second shrine. You will find him at the cliff, which is beneath the place patrolled by Nure-Onna.
There is a narrow path near the second, adjacent to the hill. It leads to a cave. Follow the candles, and you will reach a large room with Nure-Onnas. Kodama is located in the left corridor accessed from this room.
The sixth Kodama is located at the third shrine. It stands to the left of the entrance to the building.
The last Kodama is located in the central part of the destroyed camp. You will find a little carport by the burning tree. The creature is behind the bags.
The Mysterious One Night Castle
This mission has another 7 Kodamas located in the following places:
The first Kodama is located at the beginning of the stage. Going down the ravine, you will end up in Yokai Realm. You have to kill the opponent – the Kodama is exactly where the enemy is.
In the village behind the second shrine you will find a building overrun by human opponents. The exit to the balconies is upstairs. Go to the left and you will reach a scaffolding. The Kodama is in the box standing at the very end of it.
In the village, you will encounter Yokai Realm. Purify the area. Go to the alley left of the building to find another Kodama.
Continuing through the village, go down the ladder from the bridge. You will reach the ladder that leads to a building. This Kodama is near the hole.
Reach the upper floor of the same building where you found the previous Kodama. You will find the exit to the balcony. Going left, you will find a hole in the railing – jump down, and you will find another Kodama.
Once all the floodgates are closed, you will unlock access to the forest. As you walk down the path, you come across a turn with an Aberrant Soldier. Jump down to the level below and eliminate another opponent of the same type. Kodama is standing next to him.
The last Kodama is located nearby. When you get to the next turn, you run into Gaki. Look at the structure below. That is where you will find the last Kodama.
The Hollow Fortress
This stage has 6 Kodamas. You can find them in the following places:
Start the level and climb the ladder. You will find the next one. It leads to the platform – the Kodama is next to the fence.
After you get up the elevator, go left. You reach an arch that leads you to the platform above the elevator. Go down the slipway to the lowest possible level to find this Kodama.
At some point, you reach a small stone bridge with Yokai Realm at the end of it. There is a small protruding rock next to it. That is where you will find another Kodama.
If get back on the same bridge and keep going right, you will reach a ladder. You can use it to get to the balcony. This Kodama is right behind the human opponent.

Follow the path from 4th Kodama to reach the stairs at the top of which you will find a cyclops. Turn right while being just before him. You will find the creature at the beginning of the wall, on a small rocky ledge.
After finding the previous Kodama, jump down to the floor below. You’ll find a building there with an entrance obscured by the land of Yokai. Inside is a key that will allow you to open the gate located on the same wall where you found the previous creature. It will lead you to a building, with a corridor filled with statues. Kodama is hidden behind the third statue.
A Hot-blooded Howl
During this sub mission you may find 5 Kodamas. They are located in:
When you walk from the first shrine, you’ll come across the temple. On the terrace, turn left and you will find Kodama just by the stairs at the corner.
At the same temple, on the terrace, turn right and go down the stairs around the corner. Kodama is behind the gate next to the lamp.
Opposite the second chapel is the entrance to the cave. Once inside, first turn right and then left. Then you will then reach the tombstone room next to which Kodama is located.
In the same cave, you have to turn right before taking any other way. Kodama is located next to the wall trap, on a rock with some candles.
The last Kodama is to the right of the door leading to the final battle.
A Way Out
You can find 6 Kodamas during this level:
You can find the first Kodama where you will encounter your opponents for the first time. There is a small cottage there. Enter the roof by using the path that goes by. Jump off it to reach a Kodama.
After going further, you will reach a small meadow. There is a path that leads up. The Kodama is located by a tree that is adjacent to this path.
Going further down the path, you’ll come across a crossroads. Turn right and you’ll end up in an alley with a damaged building. The Kodama is located in a basket near the wall.
The next Kodama is behind the second shrine. By following the path you will come across trees that you can enter. Turn right to the hill to get to the higher one. Climb on it and jump on a tree log – there you can find the collectible.
Just after 4th Kodama you will get to an open space. On the right, under the cliff, there is another Kodama.
Take the path on the right from where you found the last Kodama. You will reach a crossroads – there is a bridge with a red railing on your right. Cross through it and head towards the building. The creature is under the stairs.
The last Kodama is located in the village behind the third shrine. It’s in the basket at the back of the last building on the right.
Corpses and Ice
This stage has 8 Kodamas. They are located in:
Walking from the first shrine you’ll encounter the first group of Yokai. Kodama is in the basket at the spot where Enki gets spawned.
Going further down the path, you’ll come across the stairs leading to the bridge. At the first turn, there are crates on the right. Destroy them and you will find a Kodama.
At the second shrine, turn left and climb the stairs. You’ll find a ladder leading to the balcony. There are some crates on it. Destroy them and you’ll find another Kodama.
Walk through the building, to reach a powerful soldier. In the room behind the gate (which can be opened after the battle) you will find Kodama.
In the same room where you found 4th Kodama there are some stairs. Climb them and go straight to the room where there is one opponent. The creature is on the right between the stairs and the wall.
Another Kodama is located behind the crates in the building to the left of the third shrine.
At the very end of the level, where you must open the gate, you will encounter Mitsume Yazura. To the left of the opponent there is an open gate. Behind it, you will come across a ruined bridge. Jump down. Then turn left and under the structure and you’ll find Kodama.
At the very end of the stage there is area affected by Land of Yokai, which you can wipe out by destroying the blue crystal. After you destroy the Yokai curse, climb on a scaffolding where Gaki was standing. At its end you can find another Kodama.
Bird in a Cage
You can find 7 Kodamas while playing this stage. They are located in:
Walking from the first shrine, you will reach a rocky tunnel full of spiders. When you get out of there, you’ll reach a wooden bridge. Kodama is located on the roof, under the structure.
There is an entrance to the cave on the hill above the house. Kodama is located right at the exit of the tunnel to the cave – on the right, behind the barrels.
Head towards the mill, pass it by, and continue towards the gate. A Kodama is located on the left near the collapsed building, roughly halfway between the two places mentioned above.
Behind the gate, on the left, you will find the entrance to the cave. You will find a ladder after you walk through it. Kodama is located on the upper level, near the ladder you have just used.
Another Kodama is in the building where you fight a boss. As you enter the building by going through the basement, turn right and walk through the poisonous water. Then turn left. You will find Kodama near the barrels behind a wooden wall.
Once you get to the upper floor and after rotating the bridge, its side branch will lead to a small room. Enter it and smash the crates standing in front of the entrance. This way you’ll find another Kodama.
You’ll find the last Kodama after you rotate the blue bridge and jump down on the lower floor. There you will find a small gap – Kodama is inside.
The Golden Nation
You can find 3 Kodamas in this level. Their location is as follows:
The first Kodama is located opposite the first shrine – on a patch of grass in the courtyard in front of the temple.
At the end of the courtyard, on the right, there is a ladder. Climb it and you’ll get to the roof. Turn right and head towards the hole in the wall. Kodama is located at the end of the beams that are inside.
Use the same ladder. Turn left on the roof. Then, you will reach the room with third Kodama.
Pervading Waters
You can find 9 Kodamas in this mission. They are located in:
Just behind the second shrine, on the left side there is a partially flooded path. At its end there is a building – there is a Kodama inside.
Behind the second shrine, on your right you will come across a building affected by Yokai land. Kodama is located on the balcony at the very top of the construction.
From the balcony, where you found the previous Kodama, go to the opposite side of the building – you will find a wooden bridge there. Walk over it and cross through the roof. The creature is located by the wall of the building.
Return to the roof from where you jumped off – there’s a bridge which leads to a two-story building. Cross it and you’ll find a short bridge. Jump down to find another Kodama.
There is a small harbor in the same village. Kodama is located in a chest near the boats.
When you get out of the harbor, go straight ahead. This way you will reach the tree located on a small island. Kodama is hidden behind it.
Follow the main story. Behind the third shrine, you will come across a Kodama sitting near a small building on the right.
Get to the floor where you have found the last Kodama. Then, walk outside the building to reach the courtyard. Kodama is located behind a lamp on the left.
After defeating Saiki, talk to him. He’ll give you a key to another locked gate. Follow the newly unlocked path and you’ll find a destroyed building. Go around it to find the last Kodama.
The Frenzied Blaze
This stage has 8 Kodamas. They are located in:
You will find a Kodama behind the ruined building – there is a gate near it that unlocks the shortcut to the first shrine.
Another Kodama is located behind the gate that will take you out of the first land of Yokai.
By going to the right of the second shrine, you’ll come across a demolished building. There’s a fire between the walls – walk through it and you’ll find a ladder. It leads to the roof where another Kodama is located.
By following the main path, behind the second shrine, you will come across a large building. Kodama is located on the terrace on the right.
At some point you will find a hole in the fence. Kodama is located just behind it. You can find it on the right side behind the rocks.
Another Kodama is located in a building where you meet an NPC that you can recruit.
Behind the third shrine on the right there is a path. Walk to the end of the path, cross through the fire, and you will find a ladder. Walk through the rooftops and you’ll find a Kodama.
To the left of the door leading to the boss fight, you will find the last Kodama.
The Sun Sets On Mount Tenno
You can find 8 Kodamas during this stage. They are located in:
At the very beginning of the level you will be attacked by an archer. The Kodama is behind a tree where the enemy was standing.
Just behind the first Kodama you will come across wetlands. On the right, you’ll find a ladder. Climb the ladder. Then, you will be able to jump to the spot where Kodama is located.
If you go straight ahead instead of turning right, you’ll find another ladder. At the top, turn right. At the very end of the path, there’s another Kodama.
The next Kodama is just behind the second shrine – after passing through the wetlands, you must turn right to reach the roof of the building.
You’ll find another Kodama if you turn left behind the second shrine. The creature resides in the swamp.
At some point you will reach the bridge, where there are red and blue crystals. Jump off it and you’ll find a Kodama.
Just behind the bridge, where red and blue crystals are located, you have to turn right. At the end of the path there is a Kodama.
After jumping off the bridge mentioned above, you’ll end up in a cave complex. Walk through it and you’ll find a ladder. It will lead you to the building. Climb to the top and go out to the balcony. The last Kodama is located there.
Imminent destruction
During this stage you can find 7 Kodamas. Check the following locations:
As soon as you cross the first bridge, you’ll find a ladder on your right. Climb the ladder. Kodama is located behind a chest that stands at the top.
Next to the second shrine you will find a door leading to a room with two ladders. Climb the ladder on the right. In the left corner of the room you will enter there is a Kodama (hidden behind the baskets).
When you cross the bridge connecting the two buildings (between the subsequent Yokai lands), you will enter a room with stairs (leading down) on the right. You’ll find a cracked wall there – destroy it and unlock a path to the room where Kodama is located.
Behind the second land of Yokai there is another bridge to the next building. Enter the building and turn right. Around the corner there is a gap that leads to a room with Kodama.
Behind the third shrine there is a room with a destroyed floor. Go to the other side. Kodama is located on the lower floor on the left. You have to jump to get it.
From the spot where you have found 5th Kodama, jump down to the lower level and head to the room in front of you. To the right of the entrance, in a corner, you’ll find another creature.
In the Land of Yokai located behind the third shrine, you will fight Ippon-Datara. Behind this opponent there is a path – there is a Kodama at the end of it.
The Two Faces of Hospitality
This mission has 7 Kodamas that can be found. They are located in:
Kodama is located at the beginning of the stage – next to the first shrine.
Another Kodama is also located at the very beginning of the level – in the building to the right of the watchtower, which you can enter. The collectible is behind the door.
Opposite the second chapel you’ll find a structure made from beams. Kodama is hidden behind the construction.
Behind the spot where you recruited Honda you’ll find a ladder leading down. Turn right at the bottom and you will find a Kodama located between the boat and the rock.
The 5th Kodama is on the tower where you will part ways with your companions.
To get to 6th Kodama, you must head towards a hill that leads to third shrine. Kill the Yoki soldier guarding the cannon and it will fire. Then return to the village to send the creature back to the shrine.
The last Kodama can be found just before the boss fight. You have to destroy the statue on the left side of the entrance.
The High Spirited Demon
This level has 6 Kodamas. They are located in:
The first Kodama is right behind the spot where you start the level – you just have to turn around.
The second Kodama is in the village on the roof of the building on the left. Use the path leading up to the hill.
There is a yellow crystal in the area where you have to defeat a Kamaitachi. Destroy it, and you’ll unlock the path. Walk through the collapsed tree. A Kodama is on the right side and to reach it you have to follow the path leading through the area fenced by barriers.
Another Kodama is located behind the crates to the left from the gate, which leads to confrontation with Koroku.
Beyond the Land of Yokai, where Mezuki is located, there is a bridge leading to the initial area of the level. To the left there is a fallen tree. Walk over it. Kodama is located behind a tree, on your left.
The last of the boulders falling from the hill will make a hole that leads to the area with a crystal. The last Kodama is located there.
Stray Cats
You can find 5 Kodamas during this level. They can be found in the following areas:
The first Kodama is right behind the spot where you start the level – you just have to turn around.
After talking to Hattori Hanzo, take the path to the left. Then, after the fight against Nureonna, head right. When you get to the surface, turn left again and you find a small bridge. The Kodama is located at the edge of the boat.
Continue on and follow the path, you will come across a small wooden house. Go around it and you will find a Kodama sitting by the wall.
In the Land of Yokai, you pick up a key that opens a passage to a large, wooden building. Kodama is located inside the building.
When you turn right at the beginning of the level, you will be able to climb the hill. When you get to the top, turn right onto the wooden platform. Then turn right again to walk into the first path. Kodama is located on the cliff below.
The Mausoleum Of Evil
In this level you can find 9 Kodamas. Check the following areas and locations:
By walking down the stairs, at some point you will reach a bridge on your left. Instead of climbing it, jump off the cliff. Kodama is located near the wall.
Another Kodama can be found on the balcony of the temple (with the crystal in the middle). To get to the creature you have to use a ladder located outside the building.
After lowering the water level in the temple, jump to a lower level by using a hole outside the building. There, around the corner, you’ll find a Kodama.
After entering the building behind the second shrine, turn left and you’ll reach a bridge. Then walk through the building on the left and go around its balcony to find another Kodama.
After entering the building, behind the second shrine, take the stairs leading to the lower level. There, go out to the terrace and enter the adjacent room where Kodama is located.
6th Kodama can be found at the end of the building, just after the second dragon statue.
Another Kodama is located at the very bottom of the temple. Jump off the bridge to the lowest level and exit through the arch.
Next to 7th Kodama there is a lever. Pull it to rotate the middle bridge. Go back upstairs and jump on the bridge. That way you’ll get to the room that leads to a hot spring. Instead of walking towards it, enter the balcony. From there, you will walk on the platform at the end of which you can find another Kodama.
The last Kodama is located on the left side of the room which leads to the arena with a boss.
The Golden Castle
This level has 8 Kodamas. They can be found in the following areas:
The first Kodama sits in bamboos right in front of the first shrine
After the fight against Enera, you will get to the next level. Go straight ahead and turn left – that’s how you will get to the roof. In its right side there is a Kodama.
Behind the second shrine, next to the stairs leading up, there is a corridor. When you reach its end, turn right twice to find a Kodama.
Another Kodama is located under the tree, in the courtyard behind the second shrine.
Behind the second shrine there is a land of Yokai. To the right of the crystal, you will find the stairs – climb up to the first floor and turn right, then left. This is how you can find Nurikabe. Kodama is behind him.
A Kodama is located in front of the entrance leading to the battlefields where you fought against Mezuki and Gozuki.
You will find another Kodama behind the third shrine. Creature sits behind the curtain to the right of the stairs that lead up.
You will find the last Kodama in a room to the right of the door leading to the boss fight.
Cherry Blossom Viewing in Daigo
The final story mission contains 8 Kodamas. They are located in:
The first Kodama is right behind the starting point – just turn around and you will find a creature sitting under a tree.
The second Kodama can be found behind a tree, in the left part of the courtyard, where you encounter the first two human opponents.
When you go through the first building on this level, walk through the terrace around its corner. This way you’ll find another Kodama.
To the left of the courtyard, where Gozuki is residing, there is a building. Go through it and turn left on the terrace. Kodama is around the corner.
By following the story you will reach a temple with two opponents guarding its entrance. Kodama is located on the terrace on the left side of the building.
By following the story you will come across a group of Yokai soldiers. To the left of them there is a small building with the land of Yokai in the middle – go around it to find next Kodama.
To the right of the building, where you found the previous Kodama, there is a wooden path leading to the top. At the top you will come across a Yokai land. Destroy the crystal to shatter the Yokai land, and then return to the bridge. Kodama is located below, on a beam.
The last Kodma is hidden behind a tree, to the left of the courtyard which leads to the final battle.
