Dime Detective 1
The magazine lies on a table in Vincenzo’s Armory located at the back of Salieri’s bar. You can get it during most of the story missions and in the Free Ride Mode.
Dime Detective 2
The magazine is in a building in Chinatown rented by Biff the fence. You visit this place for the first time during Better Get Used to It main mission. It is found lying on the couch covered in a sheet.
Dime Detective 3
The magazine is inside the Corleone hotel visited during The Saint and the Sinner main mission. It lies on a desk in one of the rooms on the ground floor of the hotel, to the right of the lobby.
Dime Detective 4
The magazine is inside St. Michael’s church, where you have the final battle in The Saint and The Sinner. After the fight is over, don’t rush to follow Sam the church’s exit. Instead, look around this place.
Dime Detective 5
The magazine can be found while exploring the farm during A Trip to the Country mission (this location is not available in Free Ride mode). Reach the building in picture 1 and eliminate several gangsters (this happens before reaching the barn where Sam defends himself). After killing the enemies, examine the inside of the building. The collectible is on the bottom wooden shelf.
Dime Detective 6
The magazine can be found at the very beginning of the Omerta main mission. The collectible is in the park in Little Italy where Tommy meets Salieri in private. There is a small building not far from the meeting place – the collectible lies on the box next to it.
Dime Detective 7
The magazine is located inside the prosecutor’s mansion in Beech Hill. Tommy and Salvatore break into the mansion as part of the Visiting Rich People mission. Once you get into the main building, explore its ground floor. The collectible lies on a small cart with wheels.
Dime Detective 8
This magazine can only be obtained during the Happy Birthday! main mission, as the collectible is hidden on board the steamer ship. Tommy can walk around the steamer in a sailor’s disguise just after the ship sails into the open sea. The picture shows its location – get it before you reach the place from which you can shoot the mission target.
Dime Detective 9
This magazine is hidden at the airport and you can get it while completing the Creme de la Creme main mission, specifically after completing the pursuit in which you chase Morello’s limousine. Get to hangar 13 and get rid of all the enemies inside. Before you go further, remember to pick up the secret from one of the crates.
Dime Detective 10
The magazine is inside the old prison in Central Island district visited during the Election Campaign mission. The secret can be found on the way to the tower with the sniper rifle, specifically after going through the destroyed kitchen from picture 1 (Tommy has to beat 2 homeless people here). Climb up to the upper level of the prison and look for the collectible in the area from picture 2. It lies in a dark room next to a small window.
Dime Detective 11
This magazine is in the old prison visited during the Election Campaign mission. You can get it after shooting the politician with a sniper rifle – during your escape from the prison. You have to get to the multi-story prison block shown in the image. Start by dealing with the nearest police officers.
After the battles, find the switch from picture 1. Pulling it will open all the surrounding cells. The collectible is in one of them – see picture 2.
Dime Detective 12
The magazine is in one of the guarded buildings of Federal Customs Impound in the Works Quarter district. The characters sneak into federal warehouses during the Just for Relaxation main mission. The secret can be found in the first building examined, soon after reaching a room with a filing cabinet that is suitable for examination to determine the location of a cargo of cigars. Stay in the room and take the magazine from the desk with a typewriter.
Dime Detective 13
The magazine is inside Tommy’s house in the Oakwood district. You can get it right at the start of The Death of Art, the final story mission. Get the collectible right after watching the cut-scenes from a conversation with Sarah. The secret is on the desk in the office.
Dime Detective 14
The magazine is at the back of the Clark’s motel in the countryside. You visit the motel for the first time during the Ordinary Routine mission. However, you can visit this place again during free exploration. It’s on the boards.
Dime Detective 15
The magazine can only be obtained during the Fair play story mission, specifically after winning a race and being in the paddock of the race track. Follow a drunken Paulie, but stop when you get to the spot shown in the picture where Lucas Bertone (a friendly mechanic) is standing. The collectible lies on the stall to the right of Lucas.
Dime Detective 16
The magazine can only be collected during the Lucky Bastard story mission, as this is the only opportunity to visit the interior of Giorgi’s Diner (shown in the picture) that is available in the Downtown area. Get rid of the gangsters in the first room of the diner. Before you head to the back of the diner, look for one of the tables – picture 2 shows it.
Dime Detective 17
The magazine can be acquired during the The Saint and The Sinner story mission. As part of this mission, you must first get to the hotel manager’s office and then reach the rooftops of the hotel. Continue your journey through the roofs, which involves eliminating police officers. Slow down when you get to the spot shown in picture 1 where you have to climb a wall. After you have done so, check out the round white table on the right with the collectible (picture 2).
Note – you need to get the secret before you will unfold the ladder which can be used by Tommy to reach the church.
Dime Detective 18
This magazine can be found at St. Peter’s Docks in the Central Island district, but only during the early part of the Happy Birthday main mission. Once you reach the docks, don’t rush it with finding Sam. Instead, carefully search the area to the left of where the invited guests are staying. The secret lies on the table.
Dime Detective 19
This magazine is located on the site of a multi-storey parking lot in the Central Island district, which is visited as part of the Great Deal main mission. Once you reach the car parking lot don’t follow the car in the front, just stay at the car park entrance and get out of the vehicle. Check the guard room on the left. There is a collectible inside.
Dime Detective 20
The magazine can be found in the early part of the Moonlighting main mission, that is, during the Grand Imperial Bank robbery. After being instructed to find the bank manager, go to the 1st floor of the building. Skip the manager’s office and continue to explore the floor. Find another available room on the floor (picture 1). The collectible lies on a desk (picture 2).
