Your task is to climb to the very top of Tartarus. The climb is not that difficult, however, it is good to have a few stamina potions at the ready.
At certain areas of the mountain, there are ledges and platforms that serve as resting points. Use them if you ran out of stamina potions.
When you reach the top, the game will warn you that there is no way back, as you’re about to face the game’s final boss, Typhon. By clicking yes, you will create a save that allows you to return to the game after defeating the final boss.
After creating the save, jump into the Vault of Typhon. A cut-scene will begin – once its over, the fight with Typhon starts. The boss encounter is divided into a few phases, as after the first clash, you are tasked with getting through the Vault. Once you complete it, you’ll face Typhon again.
After defeating Typhon for the first time, you’ll find yourself in his Vault. You must complete a series of tasks to unlock the way to the second encounter.
Start by going left – there are two puzzles to solve there. First involves activating a button, and moving the left, smaller cube to the very end, so that the right one can enter the platform.
The second puzzle involves using the ball and the wind. First activate the button, then shoot at the target on the signpost. Move the ball to the next room. Place the ball on the ground and hit the target again. This will allow you to place the ball in a special place.
Now you need to go to the right side. There are two puzzles waiting for you. The first is connected to the cube which levitates upon impact. Hit it first, then throw it to the other side, and when it is above the platform, shoot her it again so it lands on it.
The second puzzle is to send Apollo’s arrow towards the brazier and then set fire to the seed. After setting fire to the seeds, press the button and move the cube to the platform.
Thanks to this, the main door will be opened – go through them. There are many opponents in the next room. Every time you solve a puzzle, you will have to defeat a new wave of opponents who will appear in this place. This way you’ll create a new pillar that will be used later in the climb to reach Typhoon again.
Now you need to solve further puzzles, they are located on the left and right sides. For each completed puzzle, a crystal will light up.
Starting from the left, climb on one of the platforms that will take you up to the puzzles.
The first puzzle is quite simple. Press the button and new cubes will appear. Two smaller cubes are connected to one larger. Approach the first smaller one on the top right and move it so that it blocks the laser, making the wooden cube able to get to the other side.
When you finish the puzzle, go right. Press the button to create a cube.
Make sure the signpost is pointing towards the lasers. Hit the cube, then grab the ledge on the right. Don’t do anything, just hold on to that ledge until the end.
Now place the cube on the platform, either by hitting it or shooting. On the right side you will see a platform that will start to move up and down. Climb on it and get to the top.
At the top you will find a similar task, but this time it is more complicated. First climb the cube, then shoot the signpost. You will now fly towards the lasers. When you are near them jump forward to avoid lasers and jump on the cube.
Then, when you drop the cube, use the Apollo’s arrow to hit the target, which will disable the lasers. The next puzzle is very similar, although harder.
Jump down and shoot the cube so it falls down. Place it on the platform, and open the chest. Now go to the center, where monsters will appear.
After defeating the opponents, the previously mentioned platform will appear.
Turn right. Your task is to place the ball in a special place. Light the ball at the hearth, then move the blocks to unlock the way.
After unlocking the path, point the flaming ball towards the seed to destroy it, and then put the ball in the designated place.
Thanks to this, the platform will start working. Get on it and get to the other side. Activate the button to create a ball.
Going a little further to the right, you need to block the path by which the airflow passes using connected blocks. Do this the same as in the photo, then Tipps the ball towards the hearth.
The hearth is on the right side. When the ball is ignited, jump on the platform in the middle of the site.
Place the ball on the side so that the gust of wind directs the ball towards the seed. The hill on the left side is perfect for this.
After destroying the seeds, wait until the ball on the left side begins to roll down.
Then direct the ball inside and place it in the designated location. Don’t forget about the chest. Return to the center of the location and defeat more opponents.
Remember the puzzle that involved moving the connected blocks on the left side? Return to that location, as now the platform will start to work, taking you to the next puzzle.
Place the large block same as in the photo above. It will block the laser, so the wooden box will not be destroyed.
Then change the direction the wind is blowing. Place a large block so that it blocks the laser on the right side.
Then bring the block closer to the laser. Shoot the target on the signpost. Now there is nothing left but to put a large block on the platform on the left. Open the chest and return to the center, defeating opponents.
Now, go right. There you will find another puzzle. Your goal will be to destroy the wall. Activate the button – there is a cube on the left side. Shoot the signpost on the right. Then hit or shoot the cube and pick it up.
When you destroy a portion of the wall, get on the platform – you’ll light the torch this way. Use Apollo’s arrow, and aim it at the target, which is in the middle behind the wall.
When all targets are lit, aim the arrow at the seed.
A little further, there is a similar location with a similar task. Press the button and create a cube, hit it, and pick it up. Throw the cube at the wall. To the right, if the arrow on the signpost shows right. When the wall comes down, hit the targets behind the wall and set the seed on fire. Do the same with the left side, only first shoot at the target on the signpost.
Then fly to the place where you destroyed two seeds. Switch the signpost so it points to the direction of the red crystal. Glide in that direction, turn left, pull the levers and open the crates.
Defeat more opponents in the center. Once that is done, all the platforms will be ready for use. Climb them to the very top to once again fight Typhon.
After defeating Typhon, a longer cutscene will begin. When it’s over, you’ll face the choice: You can go back to a saved game where you didn’t jump into the Vault of Typhon, or you can start NG+, buy Season Pass or return to the title screen.
